Thanks to the thousands who came to Tosa Tonight on June 13 to hear Rebecca and the Grey Notes and the Differentials. It was a wonderful evening, with great weather and great music. Next up for the Grey Notes: 9 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the Fire Pit’s Sports Bar at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.
Next up: Tosa Tonight
Please join us on Wednesday, June 13, as we help open the Tosa Tonight concert series with a performance at the Rotary Performance Pavilion at Hart Park, at N. 68th and W. State streets in Wauwatosa. We will be playing a one-hour set beginning at 6 p.m. that will feature seven of our original songs along with covers of music by Led Zeppelin, the Byrds, Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee Nina Simone and the Allman Brothers. We’ll be opening for The Differentials, a Wauwatosa band that will be playing music from the songbooks of the Eagles, Jackson Browne, the Traveling Wilburys and more. Tyler will be accompanying the band on lead guitar, and Rebecca will be joining The Diffs to sing songs by Linda Ronstadt. It should be a great evening of superb music by two local bands on a beautiful night.
Next up: Arriba
After a couple of gig cancellations–one because of a snowstorm, the other because of a Kenny Chesney concert parking issue–we will be back in business on Friday, June 8, beginning at 7 p.m. at Arriba Mexican Restaurant, just south of N. 124th St. and W. Hampton Ave. in Butler. It will be the start of a busy month for us, with shows June 13 at Tosa Tonight with the Differentials and June 15 at the Fire Pit’s Side Bar at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.
Bulletin: Gig cancellation
BULLETIN: The Kenny Chesney concert at Miller Park this Saturday, April 28, will be chewing up all of the parking around Dugout 54, thus leaving no room for any of our fans to park and see our show scheduled for the same date. And Kenny is a much bigger star than we are. So we’re canceling our gig with the Andrew Gelles Trio scheduled for this Saturday at Dugout 54 and will be rescheduling it at a later date. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
Bulletin: No gig tonight
Due to inclement weather, our gig tonight, April 14, at the Delafield Brewhaus has been canceled. We will be rescheduling it, most likely in June. Please be safe and stay off the roads tonight.
Next up: Delafield Brewhaus
Rebecca and the Grey Notes will be back in business April 14 with a performance at the Delafield Brewhaus. First chord will be struck at 9 p.m. Arrive early for the restaurant’s wonderful food, then enjoy some free live music.
2 more dates coming up
The band will be returning to Arriba Mexican Restaurant & Lounge, 4753 N. 124th St., Butler, on Saturday, March 3. Our first chord will be struck at 7 p.m. Come early for some good Mexican food and then enjoy our music in an acoustically perfect room. We’ll be following up this show with a gig on Saturday, March 10, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Pam’s Fine Wines, 100 Main St., Mukwonago, where we’ll be celebrating Pam’s birthday.
2 dates this weekend
Fresh off our most successful year, we will open our 2018 schedule with a return engagement Friday, Feb. 23, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Pan’s Fine Wines, 100 Main St., Mukwonago, and a gig on Saturday, Feb. 24, at a new location for us, The Lakeside Supper Club & Lounge, which is just northwest of the intersection of I-94 and Highway 67 in Oconomowoc. Our previously announced gig on Feb. 24 at the Dugout in Milwaukee has been moved to April. We’ll have more info on that in the coming weeks. Thanks for all your support in 2017. We look forward to seeing you again this year!
First dates of new year
After taking some time off to relax after a busy 2017, Rebecca and the Grey Notes has started adding dates to its schedule for 2018. First up: The band will be playing at Pam’s Fine Wines, 100 Main St., Mukwonago, at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23. The band also will be performing for the first time at Dugout 54, 5328 W. Blue Mound Road, Milwaukee, on Saturday, Feb. 24. We’ll announce the starting time for that gig at a later date, but it should be around 9 p.m. Dugout 54 is a great Milwaukee live music venue with a superb lights and sound system. Performing there gives our fans in Milwaukee a centrally located place to hear our music. Here’s to a great 2018!
More radio airplay

This past week Mukwonago radio station WFAQ-LPFM (101.3) acquired our two CDs and will begin putting our songs into a rotation on the air. The low-power station broadcasts within a 10-mile radius of Mukwonago, so the next time Rebecca and the Grey Notes plays at Pam’s Fine Wines, you also may hear our recorded music being played on the station. This is the fifth radio station that has aired our music in the last six months. Thanks, WFAQ!
