Six songs in three days with the incredible assistance of sound engineer Jon Chi and studio owner Ken Krei. We can’t wait for you to hear the results.
Rebecca and the Grey Notes heads into the studio today (Feb. 6) to begin recording the first half of what the band hopes will be a full-length album of original music. How we do in the studio this weekend will determine whether we can continue to finish the album. So we are well-rehearsed and ready to rock. We are extremely fortunate to be able to do our recording at Third Ward Records, whose mission is to support independent and emerging artists and the creative community. The studio has recorded the albums of many local and national bands, including most recently Eric Benet. Third Ward Records also sponsored the film “Take Me To The River” at the Milwaukee Film Festival this past year. “Take Me To The River,” produced by Milwaukee-area resident Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), provides insight to the Memphis and Stax Records sounds and influence over the music world. We are excited about this recording opportunity and will keep you informed about our progress. Thanks again for following us.

We are pleased to announce that our 2015 World Tour for Rebecca and the Grey Notes will begin Friday, March 27, at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Fire Pit Side Bar, beginning at 9 p.m. This is a FREE show. In addition to covers of Norah Jones, Linda Ronstadt and other great female singers, along with a diverse grouping of songs from Led Zeppelin to B.B. King to the Byrds to old Fleetwood Mac to Patsy Cline, we’ll be playing the five original songs that we’ll be recording in the studio in February. We will be releasing shortly more show dates, including some sweet festival bookings. Watch this page for more updates. Thanks again for following us and being our best fans.
Rebecca and the Grey Notes will be heading into the studio on Feb. 6. We’ll record five originals, maybe one cover, and see how those tracks sound. If all goes well, we could return to the studio later to do another batch of material.
We’ll also be announcing some performance dates later for gigs in late March and April, so stay tuned.
And thanks again for checking us out, coming to our gigs and supporting us. We are looking forward to a busy 2015.
Rebecca and the Grey Notes would like to wish all of our fans a joyous Christmas and a very happy New Year. We are so thankful that you have come out to support our live shows. We will be in our winter hibernation mode until March while working in the studio recording our originals. We’ll keep you updated as the new year begins. Rock on!
If you wanted to see us one more time, we would love to see you. We will be hibernating in the studio this winter hopefully! So please come see us at Tally’s Tap from 8:30-12:30!
We’re so excited to announce that we will be at Potawatomi on the 11th of October from 10pm-1:30! Please come by and see this free show! 1721 W Canal St, Milwaukee, WI 53233
Thanks to everyone who came out to see our show on Friday, Sept. 5, at Tally’s Tap & Eatery in Waukesha. And thanks to Jessica for booking us again on Nov. 7. Tally’s was the site of our first show, which was just last year. We should have more original songs ready for our November gig. Hope to see you there.
We had the pleasure of being the first band to play at the new Big Sky Country Bar & Grill Stage at the Wisconsin State Fair. We also will be playing there on the closing night of the fair, this Sunday, Aug. 10, from 3 to 7 p.m. Thanks to Big Sky Country for inviting us back. Hope to see you there.
