Thank you, Summerfest

Rebecca and the Grey Notes had a fantastic time playing at Summerfest. At the risk of missing someone, we’d like to thank all of those who joined us there: Nancy Juley Frank Clines, Mike and Deb Mulvey; Ben and Jen Steele, Ann and Howard Kallio, Mark and Patricia Shimeta Koncki and assorted relatives, Enrique Rodriguez, Gary Jadin, Miles Moffeit and Gina MarieBarton, Bill Schulz, Erica Maley, Brian and Terry Zellmer, Linda Fieldstadt, Jeff Zmania, Jason Rieve, Jeff and Emily Craw-Kallio, Sam and Christopher Koncki and everyone who saw us for the first time. We are truly grateful for all of your support.

Festing on Sunday

We are stoked to be invited to play at 2 p.m. July 2 at Summerfest. We’ll be at the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage with FM 106.1. We will be playing originals off of our latest album as well as ones off our first CD along with a few cover songs from old Fleetwood Mac to Etta James to Led Zeppelin. Hope you can join us!2017-04-28 21.47.05.jpg

New gig added

We have a late-breaking gig: This Saturday, June 10, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Pam’s Fine Wines, 100 Main St., Mukwonago. Added bonus: This will be the first show in which our new CD, “Volume Two,” featuring seven original songs, will be available for purchase. We are very proud of this new album and are eager to share it with you! Stay tuned for information on how to purchase the CD online through CD Baby and iTunes.IMG_2034.jpg

Album release date

Our second album is being printed and packaged and, if everything goes as planned, will be available for purchase beginning June 1. We’re proud to feature seven new original songs written by Tyler and arranged by the Grey Notes. These seven, combined with the five original songs from our first self-titled album, provide the variety of songs that you would expect from a group that features a top-tier female singer, a guitar god and a tight rhythm section. Watch our Facebook page for possible snippets from the album.

Thanks, Potawatomi!

We are always grateful to be invited to play at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill in Milwaukee. And Friday, April 28, was no exception. We got to play on a super stage, with professional lighting and a great sound system monitored and shaped by a great sound tech, Jason Rieve (who photobombed us). The Poto gang really knows how to treat a band. The photo of the band playing onstage was taken by Matt Phillips.

Next up, 3 weekends

We will begin three consecutive weekends of music on Saturday, April 15, when we visit the Studio Winery, 401 Sheridan Springs Road, in Lake Geneva for the first time. This will be a really early show, beginning at 4 p.m. and lasting until 8 p.m., so those of you who aren’t night owls can enjoy three full sets of our originals and covers. The following weekend, we will return to Arriba Mexican Restaurant & Lounge, 4753 N. 124th St., Butler, on Saturday, April 22. And we’ll wrap up our month of music with a show Friday, April 28, beginning at 8:30 p.m. at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Fire Pit Side Bar, 1721 W. Canal St., Milwaukee. Hope you can join us.

Bringing back the art of playing music
