Thanks, Summerfest!

What a week! Thanks to Summerfest and to the baaree beer garden in Thiensville for allowing us to perform. We had our largest crowd at Summerfest and our largest crowd at the baaree, with lots of new fans joining our special regulars. Next up: performances beginning at noon Aug. 6-7 at the Wisconsin State Fair.
Thank you, Summerfest, for allowing us to play at the USCellular Connection Stage. We had big fun July 7 opening for rising country music star Priscilla Block. Next up: the baaree beer garden in downtown Thiensville. Help us celebrate the end of a great weather weekend. We’ll be playing from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 10. No cover charge, but lots of good food and beverages and seating in an acoustically friendly setting. Hope to see you there.
Rebecca and the Grey Notes will be making its fifth appearance at Summerfest when it performs at 2:30 p.m. July 7 on the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage. The band will be the last local act before a national touring show of four country music bands–Priscilla Block, Niko Moon, Erin Kinsey and Russell Dickerson–hits the stage. Bonus: Those 60 and older will get free admission to Summerfest on July 7! Please join us to support live music.
Join the band for an evening of free, live music outdoors at one of the best mead-based breweries in the Milwaukee area. The band will be performing original songs from its first two EPs along with covers of music from female artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Nina Simone, Linda Ronstadt, Patsy Cline, Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones and Ann Peebles and material from bands from Tom Petty to Led Zeppelin. The weather should be great, so we will be performing at the Hive’s outdoor stage.
Rebecca and the Grey Notes will be headlining the Miller Lite Main Stage from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening June 12 at Polish Fest on the Summerfest grounds. We performed on a chilly evening at the last Polish Fest on the Summerfest grounds before the festival shut down due to COVID-19 and are excited to be invited back to perform at the popular ethnic festival. General admission for the festival is $10. You can check out the lineup at http://www.polishfest.org/schedule/daily-schedule/.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us and live music this past weekend at Studio Winery + Geneva Lake Distilling in Lake Geneva and at the baaree in Thiensville. Great crowds at both events, which were only the second and third gigs with us for our new drummer, Tom Spolar. Our next public appearance will be from 5-8 p.m. at the main stage at Polish Fest.
We will be using the month of April to rehearse new songs in preparation for back-to-back dates in May. On Saturday, May 21, we will be returning to the Studio Winery + Geneva Lake Distilling in Lake Geneva. The first chord will be struck at 5 p.m. On Sunday, May 22, we will be performing at the baaree, a fantastic outdoor venue in downtown Thiensville, from 4-7 p.m. Hope to see you there.
Our next gig is Saturday, Feb. 19, from 5-9 p.m. at Studio Winery + Geneva Lake Distillery in Lake Geneva. No cover. We most likely will play this show as a trio, but after just one rehearsal our new drummer, Tom Spolar, already has a good start on learning our material, so stay tuned.
On Feb. 7, 2015, we were recording our first CD of original music in the St. Francis studio of Ken Krei, using the incredible Jon Chi as our producer. Over a three-day weekend we recorded five original songs written by Tyler Famularo and one cover song, “The End of the World,” by Skeeter Davis. Music from the CD was played on five Milwaukee-area radio stations.
