Gig just added

We’ll be playing as a full band for the first time in five months Saturday, Aug. 8, when we invade the Studio Winery in Lake Geneva. First chord will be struck at 5 p.m., and we’ll be playing our original music plus covers until 9 p.m.

Two new gigs!

Alright! It’s been a while but we have two gigs this month, both as duos. Tyler and I will be playing from 5-9 on Friday, July 3rd at Studio Winery in Lake Geneva.

We are also excited to be playing in the beer garden at Kegel’s Inn from 5-8 on July 25th. We can’t wait to be out playing again. Come on out and support local businesses!

New Twitter account added

We have been using the Twitter account #hofnerbass to converse with our fans. But that really was the personal account of Mike, our bassist. So we’ve created our own #rebeccaandthegreynotes account on Twitter, and we’ll be testing it out over the next few weeks. If you happen to see us on Twitter, give us a shoutout!

Stay healthy, people!

All of our scheduled performances for April, May, June and July have been postponed or canceled, and we are unable to get together as a band to rehearse. but Rebecca and the Grey Notes still plan on playing music at some point this year. We’ll let you know when we’ll be able to strike a chord. Meanwhile, here’s a clip, courtesy of Enrique Rodriguez, of one of our original songs from one of our performances at the Wisconsin State Fair in 2017. Stay healthy, everyone!

Thanks, Tally’s! Next up: Parkside 23

Rebecca and the Grey Notes had a fantastic time Friday night, March 6, at Tallys Tap & Eatery, thanks to a big fish fry crowd and a large group of live music lovers. We debuted some new songs to the big crowd. Big thanks to Tally’s for inviting us back. Next up: We are very happy to be returning to Parkside 23 in Brookfield. This is an early start–6 p.m.–so those who say they don’t attend our concerts because we start too late, here’s your chance!

Back home at Tally’s

The band returns Friday, March 6, to the site of its first concert, which was held in April 2013. It should be an interesting night because we’ll be debuting some new cover songs, including a rearrangement of a Beatles tune, a blues song made famous by the Allman Brothers and a tune from Joe Walsh’s playlist. Enjoy Tally’s famous and bountiful fish fry, then listen to three sets of original music along with covers of material from artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Norah Jones, Bonnie Raitt, old Fleetwood Mac, the Byrds, Led Zeppelin, and maybe, just maybe, Black Sabbath. First chord will be struck at 8:30 p.m.IMG_5380.jpg

Parkside 23, repeat, repeat

The band, fresh off a performance at Parkside 23 in Brookfield last week, will be returning to the live music venue on Feb. 4 and Feb. 18. Parkside 23 is a farm-to-table restaurant with an extensive menu and choice of beverages. We’ll be performing in the bar area, which allows listeners to enjoy the band in an up-close and personal setting. And there is no cover charge. Hope you can join us!

Happy New Year!

The band wishes all of our fans a very happy and prosperous New Year! We will be starting our new year with a show at 6 p.m. Jan. 7 at Parkside 23 in Brookfield. We also will be at Parkside 23 two times in February, once in March, once in May and once in June. We’ll also be visiting the Studio Winery in Lake Geneva in April as we start to fill in our 2020 events for the year. Watch our schedule for more details. 20190316_210249.jpg
