Thanks to everyone who attended our show April 10 at Tally’s Tap & Eatery in Waukesha. Not sure whether it was the good food or our music, but whatever the case, it was crowded all night. Thanks to all our friends, relatives, co-workers and former co-workers for joining in on the fun. We had a blast. We’ll return to Tally’s on May 29.

Back to Tally’s on April 10
Fresh off a great gig at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, Rebecca and the Grey Notes will perform this Friday, April 10, at Tally’s Tap & Eatery, S31-W24661 Sunset Drive, on Waukesha’ south side. The first chord will be struck at 8:30 p.m. As is the case with all of our shows, this is a FREE show. We will be playing five original songs along with our solid lineup of covers and other new material as we revamp our set lists. You can hear the full version of one of our originals, “You Belong to Me,” in the Media portion of this webpage. Hope to see you there.
Great crowd at Potawatomi
Thanks to everyone who came out to see us on Friday, March 27, at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Fire Pit Side Bar. Many in attendance were there way past their bed time, so we certainly appreciate your loyalty! Also for the first time we played live versions of three new original songs that will be on our forthcoming EP. Thanks to Potawatomi for inviting us to play.
First song of EP is posted
We have just posted the first of our original songs recorded last month at Third Ward Records. Go to the Media portion of this website and listen to “You Belong to Me.” We will be posting more songs from our recording session soon, and we hope to have the EP ready for distribution by early summer.
Closing in on our first gig of 2015
Members of Rebecca and the Grey Notes are in rehearsals for our first gig of 2015 – 9 p.m. March 27 at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Fire Pit Side Bar. The Side Bar is a great place to watch a live concert, with a convenient and well-stocked bar, great acoustics and, just feet away, 3,500 slot machines. We will be playing three new original songs, which we recorded along with two other originals and one cover song last month at Third Ward Records. We hope to release those six songs sometime this summer. Looking forward to seeing you Friday, March 27.
Returning to Tally’s
We were very fortunate to have played six shows last year at Tally’s Tap & Eatery on Waukesha’s south side, and this year we’ll be returning to the establishment that gave us our first gig. We have shows scheduled at Tally’s on Friday, April 10, and Friday, May 29. Both shows will begin at 8:30 p.m. Tally’s is at S31-W24661 Sunset Drive, Waukesha. We hope to see you there.
Photos released from recording session
Photographer Jeff Zmania has released photos from our recording session earlier this month at Third Ward Records. You can see all of Jeff’s great work at http://www.jmzphoto.com. Thanks to Ken Krei for allowing us into his Third Ward Records studio, and thanks to sound engineer Jon Chi for pushing us and making us sound better.

Session photos coming soon
Rebecca and the Grey Notes will be posting photos soon, perhaps by Sunday, by photographer Jeff Zmania of our recording sessions at Third Ward Records. Today we give you a teaser of what’s to follow. Check out Jeff’s photo portfolio at http://www.jmzphoto.com.

Six songs in three days with the incredible assistance of sound engineer Jon Chi and studio owner Ken Krei. We can’t wait for you to hear the results.
Studio time begins
Rebecca and the Grey Notes heads into the studio today (Feb. 6) to begin recording the first half of what the band hopes will be a full-length album of original music. How we do in the studio this weekend will determine whether we can continue to finish the album. So we are well-rehearsed and ready to rock. We are extremely fortunate to be able to do our recording at Third Ward Records, whose mission is to support independent and emerging artists and the creative community. The studio has recorded the albums of many local and national bands, including most recently Eric Benet. Third Ward Records also sponsored the film “Take Me To The River” at the Milwaukee Film Festival this past year. “Take Me To The River,” produced by Milwaukee-area resident Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), provides insight to the Memphis and Stax Records sounds and influence over the music world. We are excited about this recording opportunity and will keep you informed about our progress. Thanks again for following us.
2015 World Tour opening date set

We are pleased to announce that our 2015 World Tour for Rebecca and the Grey Notes will begin Friday, March 27, at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Fire Pit Side Bar, beginning at 9 p.m. This is a FREE show. In addition to covers of Norah Jones, Linda Ronstadt and other great female singers, along with a diverse grouping of songs from Led Zeppelin to B.B. King to the Byrds to old Fleetwood Mac to Patsy Cline, we’ll be playing the five original songs that we’ll be recording in the studio in February. We will be releasing shortly more show dates, including some sweet festival bookings. Watch this page for more updates. Thanks again for following us and being our best fans.
