Neglected to post photos from our gig in September at St. Charles Borromeo Parish and School Fall Festival in Burlington. As is the case at all of our gigs, Rebecca made many new fans, this time including some just entering grade school. The band even won a few extra dollars by entering the festival’s cash raffle. The festival organizers treated us like royalty and the crowd was wonderful. Thanks again to all who organized the parish event. Our next show is Saturday night, Nov. 18, at Roma’s Ristorante & Lounge in East Troy.

Big crowd at Tally’s
Rebecca and the Grey Notes had its largest crowd ever at Tallys Tap & Eatery on Oct. 6. Thanks to everyone for your support of the band and live music, and thanks to Jessica at Tally’s, which is one of the handful of live music venues in the Waukesha area. The Friday fish fry was fantastic. We’re working on trying to squeeze in a few more performances before the end of the year, and we’ve secured a gig on Nov. 18 at Roma’s Ristorante and Lounge, East Troy, WI. More details to come.
Next Up: Tally’s
We are returning this Friday, Oct. 6, to the place where it all began in April 2013: Tally’s Tap & Eatery, S31-W24661 W. Sunset Drive, on Waukesha’s south side. The first chord will be struck at 8:30 p.m. Tally’s has a tasty and bountiful Friday night fish fry along with drink specials to go along with its remodeled dining area. We’re looking forward to seeing you there as we begin to wrap up a very successful year.
Jsonline article, photo, videos
We had the distinct pleasure to be asked this summer by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to record videos of two of our original songs that are on our latest CD, “Volume 2.” You can find an article written by Journal Sentinel Music Critic Piet Levy here, along with links to the videos of “Lovin’ You Every Single Minute (of the Day)” and “Picture of You.”
Birthday time in Delafield
Next up: Delafield Brewhaus
Help us celebrate the end of a fantastic summer of music and the birthday of our lead guitarist and music writer by attending our last indoor show of the season Saturday, Sept. 16, beginning at 9 p.m. at the Delafield Brewhaus. We’ll be serving some treats while raising a toast to Tyler and to what we’ve accomplished this year, including the release of our new CD, “Volume 2,” a favorable review of our CD, a date at Summerfest, video recordings of two of our original songs, airplay on three Milwaukee-area radio stations and lots of incredible gigs. It was a big step forward for us. We’ll also raise a toast to our fans who’ve traveled from Green Bay, Madison, Chicago, Dallas and all points in-between to hear our music. Thanks to everyone for a great year. And don’t worry: We have some gigs coming up this fall. Stay tuned.

More radio airplay
In case you didn’t hear the program on Aug. 20, FM 106.1 WMIL-FM played “Lovin’ You Every Single Minute (of the Day),” a song on our new CD, as the lead-off tune for the station’s Homemade Jams program. It was an honor for the band to be included in a strong local band lineup of original music. A big thank-you to the station and to program director and host Duncan MacManus for playing our recording on the Milwaukee area’s highest-rated country music station. To hear what it sounded like on the program, go to our Facebook page.
